Project Zomboid /// Switching the server to Build 42 Unstable Print

  • unstable, b42, update
  • 0

If the server has already run on Build 41, we recommend reinstalling it first. Stop the server, click More, select Reinstall, and then follow these steps:

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Click SteamUpdate - Latest Unstable in the left-hand menu.
  3. Wait for the update to finish. Open Commandline Manager and click Select next to B42 - Unstable.
  4. If the server contains a world created by an older version, back it up and then delete the entire Zomboid folder. Otherwise, the server may crash. You can skip this step after a complete reinstall.
  5. The server initially retains the Build 41 configuration. Build 42 uses some additional or changed settings. A reference file named SandBoxVars_TemplateB42 is available under Configuration Files. The server can normally start without copying the new optional settings.
