DayZ /// How to enable RCON and change password

Changing the RCON settings is a bit more complicated with DayZ, but you can definitely do it by following the instructions below.

  1. Shut down the server
  2. Open the "File Manager" menu
  3. In the "battleye" folder you will find the file "BEServer_x64_active_XXXXX.cfg", delete this file
  4. In the main menu click on "Configuration files"
  5. For the file "BEServer_x64.cfg" click on "Text Editor"
  6. In the text editor, then enter the following
  7. RConPassword 1234 (choose a password)
  8. Rconport XXXX (leave this out)
  9. RestrictRCon 0 (1 for off and 0 for on)
  10. So the result looks like the image below
  11. Turn on the server

This action must be repeated for each change, DayZ will always create an Active file that needs to be deleted to overwrite the new settings
